Ghorab typeface
Ghorab is a bold, high-contrast typeface that originated from a poster designed as a critique of hypocrisy. Its name—Ghorab, meaning "crow" in Arabic—comes from the Iraqi proverb: "غراب يقول لغراب وجهك أسود" ("A crow says to a crow: Your face is black"), a cultural parallel to the English idiom, "The pot calling the kettle black."
The letterforms feature sharp, distinctive terminals that echo the silhouette of a crow, giving the typeface a striking, expressive character. Ghorab is designed to command attention, making it ideal for posters, headlines, and statement pieces.
